You could start a 30 day free trial, or you could continue in demo mode. If you have a license code, you can plug that in here. And this is the first time we're running this program, so we're being asked to activate the software. So we can go ahead and click on that to launch. Now in Windows, I should be able to look under My Programs under Agisoft and find Metashape Standard. So I'll do that by clicking "Yes." And go ahead and click "Finish" to complete the install.

Again, I'm just going to leave this on the default under my program files, and I'll go ahead and click "Next, and then "Install." I'll need to give the installer permission to make changes. Go ahead and click "Next" and again, and here we can specify where on the hard drive Metashape will be installed.

In this case I'm just going to do everything on the defaults and that should be just fine. So click "Next", agree to the license agreement. I'll go ahead and double click, and just work through the prompts. So, let's go ahead into my downloads, and I can see I have an installer for Metashape. I've already gone ahead of downloaded this. So go ahead and pick the link for the platform that you're working on. One of the reasons we chose to cover this particular photogrammetry package is that it's cross-platform and it works pretty much the same, no matter what operating system you're working with. So you can see we've got links for a Windows, a Mac, and a Linux installer. The professional edition has some really cool features that are much more advanced and just outside the scope of what we're going to cover here.

So in this course we'll be working with the standard edition, and that's going to be just fine for getting introduced to a lot of the processes involved in photogrammetry. We have a professional edition and a standard edition. And we consider that section of the page. At the time of this recording, that's version 1.6.5. Let's go ahead over to the download section, and here we can see the latest version of Agisoft Metashape. I've gone ahead and launched a browser, and navigated to the website of Agisoft, that's the software company that makes Metashape. After watching this video, you'll be able to install Metashape on your computer. Metashape is a commercial photogrammetry software package for windows, Mac, and Linux.
